Hi.
My name is Molly. I am looking for a home, and you might be the perfect owner, but you shouldnxxx;t adopt me without knowing something about me. So here is my story.
I donxxx;t remember a lot about my early life and what I do remember, I try to forget. My temporary foster owners tell me that they think I was dumped in the country and left to fend for myself and I was either too young or not trained by my mother to hunt. Needless to say, I went without food for a long time and I was awfully scared all the time. I donxxx;t remember growing up in a home but I must have because I am not afraid of noises like the washing machine or the clothes dryer.
I must have been alone for a while because my first memories are of waking up in a warm house being cuddled by this new person I had never seen before. They tell me that they found me one very cold morning and I was lying on a log in the bush. I was very cold, I was skinny as a rail, and I had a few health problems. If they hadnxxx;t have taken me in, I am pretty sure I wouldnxxx;t be telling this story. I was so weak that for the first day, I didnxxx;t have strength enough to eat soft food so my head just fell into the bowl they put in front of me. They fed me some warm milk with a medicine dropper every couple of hours. Boy that was sure good stuff. I am embarrassed to mention that I couldnxxx;t make it to the kitty litter for a couple of days either. After a few days, I was able to eat and drink on my own but I still had health problems from being hungry and cold for so long. So they took me to the vet to get me healthy. Now going to the vet isnxxx;t too bad other than having my mouth, ears, eyes and a couple of other places that are impolite to mention, looked at. That is when they found out I was a girl, which I knew all the time! They also said they thought I was six weeks old. Like I said, going to the vet isnxxx;t all that bad, but afterwards, I had to take some medicine that didnxxx;t taste too nice and worst of all, I had to have some sticky cream put in both my eyes three times a day. That stung a lot and every time I see the guy that forced my eyes open to put that stuff in, I run away. One day I will trust him again, but not quite yet. After a few weeks, I finally got better and I went back to the vet for a final check up. The vet said I was a lot older than he thought because my adult teeth were coming in so he guessed my age at six months so that puts my birthday some time in May. I must have been pretty skinny for him to think I was only 6 weeks old! I had also gained a lot of weight in the last few weeks. In any case, he pronounced me it as a fiddle. I donxxx;t know what a fiddle is, but I feel pretty good.
Now I have to admit, I am a bit of a diva about my fur. I have a perfect coatxxx;pure white along with some splotches of black that I keep groomed to the nines all the time. I always, always use the litter tray and cover almost every time, but sometimes I do forget. I am a little bit shy with strangers and it takes me a while to get used to them. I love to sneak up to the lady of the household in the middle of the night and snuggle in her neck. And, oh yes, I am told I eat like a horse but I just think I am trying to catch up. Where I stay now, they already have three cats so I canxxx;t live there any longer, but I sure like playing with them in the middle of the night. We play tag. I also like to sit in the window and watch birds, chase balls and I have just discovered card games on the computer.
If you want a friend and have some time to play and hold me, I think I would be a great pet for you and your family.
Estimated date of birth of Molly is June 10, xxxx.
